Thanks to everyone for making our 6th annual event the best ever!
On January 27, 2008 the Epilepsy Foundation of Hawaii hosted the 6th
annual Sharon's Ride for Epilepsy. Sharon's Ride is a unique memorial to Sharon Rosenfeld, a nurse and teacher who cared
deeply about epilepsy and epilepsy patients who was killed during a cross country bicycle ride in 1993. Sharon's Ride
Run Walk for Epilepsy was started in 1996 in St. Louis, Missouri by Dr. William Rosenfeld and Dr. Susan Lippmann, neurologists
who specialize in epilepsy and who created the event to honor the memory of Dr. Rosenfeld's sister. Sharon's Ride takes
place at 7 sites across the country and we are honored that Dr. Rosenfeld and his family will be in Honolulu for our event!
Through the generous participation of over 300 people we had our best turnout ever. Although we are still in
the process of tabulating final numbers there is no doubt that the money brought in by Sharon's Ride plus Spinfest will be
able to guarantee that the EFH will be in existence for another year!
Help us make next year's event even better. If you participated in one
of these events please fill out a short (3 minutes) survey to tell us how we did and how we can improve. Surveys will
be available until Feb 5, 2008.
Please fill out the survey for whichever event(s) you
participated in.
